Burke Handling Systems began business in Mississippi in January1966.
On January 1, 1966, Robert O. Burke Sr. and Barney F.
Hasenyager opened Mississippi Clarklift, Inc. in Jackson,
Mississippi. Taking over the territory formerly covered by Delta
Material Handling in Memphis, Tennessee, Mississippi Clarklift was
a franchised dealer of both Clark and Crown
equipment.
The company has grown over the years and has expanded to meet it's
customer's ever-growing needs. To better serve our customers
througout the state, branches were opened in Greenville, MS in 1975,
Columbus, MS in 1976, and most recently in Hattiesburg, MS in 1995.
In 1985 we changed our name to better describe the complete line of
material handling equipment we now carry. Mississippi Clarklift,
Inc. became Burke Handling Systems, Inc. Aside from
Clark and Crown equipment, through the years Burke Handling
Systems has become franchised dealers and distributors of a wide range
of material handling equipment including, but not limited to:
Hytrol conveyor systems, Magline hand trucks, Sellick
rough terrain forklifts, Daewoo industrial trucks, Drexel
forklifts, Pioneer dock equipment, PJ Casters,
K-W/Hawker PowerSource industrial batteries and chargers, and most
recently we have become a dealer of Linde Baker forklifts. Linde Baker
covers a full line of electric and internal combustion lift trucks.
